Winterizing Your Irrigation System
As winter weather makes its way into the area, we have to plan for WINTERIZING YOUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM to protect your investment. We service the majority of our clients and if you elect not to have the service performed, your system may sustain some damage to components including fittings, sprays, rotors, backflows, valves, and pumps. This can also affect any warranties for our components, parts, and labor.
A typical repair charge can be very expensive (average cost last season was $328.00 for all repairs from freeze damage). New 2009 Installations (with standard one year warranty) will not be guaranteed if we do not perform your winterization!
Winterizations will begin November 1st (depending on weather and colder temperatures). When the trees lose their leaves, plant material and turf begins the dormancy period in which further watering can be both wasteful and non-productive.
This season, the price to winterize a standard non waterfront and waterfront (pump) system is $85.00 ($75.00 for Pre-Pay) and includes Backflow shutdown, as well as blowing the system clean with controlled compressed air where applicable. During our Winterization process, no system adjustments will be made (since this is shutdown time).
During these difficult economic times—you may save $10 and pay only $75.00 by prepaying your Winterization fee. You may also forward your check to our address or call the office and provide us with your Visa or MasterCard information.
IMPORTANT: If you have additions or modifications (due to landscape growth or changes), please hire us over the Winter months if possible (since Spring/Summer schedules can get fully booked). You’ll save money by scheduling any modifications in the Winter (Off-Season Pricing) and you will be ready when Spring arrives.
